If you’re like me and are a long time member of the four-eyed club, you’re going to love the Warby Parker Home Try-On. Warby Parker has officially flipped the eyewear game on its head. I don’t know about you, but when I try on glasses, it takes me forever to choose a frame. I want to see myself in them from every possible angle and light. I’m DO NOT take my eyewear purchases lightly. I research, dwell and have to get the opinions of everyone I know on what I’m about to buy before I buy. I guess it’s the indecisive person in me, that irritates the shiz out of The Hubs! Oh well, he’s lived with it this long, he can live with it a little longer.
This post contains affiliate links, meaning I get a small commission if you make a purchase using one of my links, but my opinions are entirely my own!
Getting to the point of this post, I didn’t know the first thing about Warby Parker Home Try-On before I actually got around to trying them out. I’ve gone more than a year without glasses, so this is a big deal for me. Now I have heard of clothes you can try-on at home before purchasing, but never eyewear. How does Warby Parker work? It works like this: On their site, you choose 5 frames that you want to try, add them to your cart, then they send them to you so you can try them on at home. You do have to enter a valid credit card, but that’s about it. I received my box in exactly a week. You have 5 days to try on the frames. Once you’re finished, send them back in the same box with the free return shipping label, then order your frame(s).
What I love about this idea is that it allows you to really try on your frames in the comfort of your own home without someone pressing you to hurry-up-and-buy! Take photos, share with your family and friends, post them on social and test them out when you’re out and about. All in all (and if you’re indecisive like me), you’ll come out of it stress-free and with frames that you love. Do as many home try-on as you need before you commit to buying any.
Here are the 5 frames that I decided to try:
I have never been a fan of square frames on my big face and I may have gotten only square frames because they help me get out of my comfort zone, but I am happy with my selections. The quality of these frames is really nice, and for the price, $95 for prescription eyewear, it really just doesn’t get any better in my opinion.
Once I really sat down to take a look at how I looked in them in photos, it really made a difference. It’s so much better than trying to take a mental note of how each one looked!
I honestly love how each of them looks, so this will be a tough decision! I did promise The Hubs that I would only purchase one pair of sunglasses and eyeglasses. Chamberlain and Welty are so similar if it wasn’t for the color, one is clear and the other having a rose pink tint to it, I wouldn’t be able to tell the difference. But my faves would have to be Roosevelt and Upshaw. They look so good photographed and work perfectly with my new cut. Warby Parker has a zillion amazing frames to choose from, and they’re all so pretty, so you may have a hard time selecting which ones to try at first. My advice is to try something new! It can’t hurt. That’s what I did, and I’m so glad I did. I discovered new styles that I wouldn’t normally try, and they actually look better with my face shape than I had imagined.
