To make the most out of the week ahead and to remove any unnecessary stress you must plan your week around the things that are important to you.
It’s so easy to let life pass you by as you do the same thing day-in and day-out. You deserve so much more than that. Your life has so much more meaning. You deserve to life a fulfilling life. You deserve to live boldly, brilliantly, and with a purpose. When you plan your week in advance, you’re able to make time for the things in your life that bring you the most value and joy.
Plan Your Week To Get Things Done
Honestly, I don’t do anything fancy. I created a simple, yet practical method, that I use every week to plan my week. Planning my week ahead, allows me to manage my time better, focus more and have more productive days. Planning eases everyday stress, keeps your life organized and teaches you the oh so amazing art of prioritization.
Let me help you plan your week like a BOSS and get things done!
Choose A Get Your Life Together Day
Pick a day where you will sit down and get your life together! During your get your life together session, you’ll update your calendar and planner for the upcoming week. If you can, do this every week on the same day and time. My get your life together day is on Friday. Friday is my off day and it’s my quiet time in the week. I’m able to relax. The idea behind your get life together day is to remove any unnecessary stress and distractions while you plan your week ahead.
Fill In Critical Appointments
Once you’ve gotten relaxed and are now ready to start your planning process, the first thing we need to do is fill in any critical deadlines or appointments you need to make or have to get done. Cancel appointments if necessary. Don’t cause yourself any unnecessary stress by keeping appointments that you won’t want or can easily reschedule. I suggest adding them to your planner AND setting a reminder for yourself on your phone. Do whatever works for you, boo!
Prioritize Your Non-Negotiables and Goals
Those tasks that you MUST do should be added to your planner next so you can clearly see how much time you have left for the other things that are important to you, those are your non-negotiables. Treat your goals like they’re your non-negotiables because, in all actuality, they are! Make a separate list of tasks that you need to do in order to reach your goals. It doesn’t matter if you only know the first step. Guess what? You can research to find the second and third, but at least you have a start. Add those tasks to your planner!
Make Time For Self-Care
We can’t forget about you! You need to make sure you schedule some time for you to take care of you. This is your self-care/recharge time. You can plan all the things, but you can’t do all the things if your battery is low. We need you full! So schedule some time in your week to love on you.
